To Denali, to Wasilla, and back to Denali

We needed to get to Wasilla, both for me, to pick up a tire at Friar Mike's, and to try to score some kind of fuel pump for Wyatt's 950, so we stopped briefly at Denali and took some quick pics, but vowing to return for more.

The road from Fairbanks towards Denali

I think I just lost another brain cell...

Ok, Wyatt looks a little more alert

Friar Mike at Wasilla!

2790 Knik-Goosebay Road, Wasilla, AK 99654

Friar Mike's is seemingly impossible to find, so plug this coordinate into your GPS

N61 33.261 W149 31.074

Friar Mike is a great guy with a great shop. Contact him before you leave for AK if you want him to have parts or tires for you (he's also here on ADVRider).

Note the time stamp and note the amount of light. It still makes me chuckle. So, you'd think that at this late at night, it'd be time to hit the sack, right? Nope, it's time to sit around and yak all night, then start workon the bike!

Awww, it's like a little kangaroo with little babies, but different.

We scored a low-pressure (1.5 - 4 psi) fuel pump at the Napa at Wasilla and a 90 degree elbow fitting along with some extra hose. Get to work!
