Hwy 1 toward GlenAllen

Road construction at the Hwy 1 and Hwy 9 juntion

Playing games when the road got too straight.

Tres Hombres

Hwy 1 heading east. The stunningness just never ends.

for the Post Office thread.

Calling it a day in Sutton, AK. The waitress's father owned this field, so free camping. Speaking of the waitress, she was badassed. She shot a guy in the knee that tried to rob her. And indeed, there's a sticker on the door "Caution - premises protected by one bad ass waitress". I regret not having snapped a pic of her. Next time!

And we had some fun, too.

Even the straight roads can be fun in the right setting!

You can do 18 hour days with roads like these.

This one picture completely captures what I had imagined Alaska to look like.

Just in case you thought all of the action was on the right side of the road

Another straight road that is awesome!

And here is where Wyatt and Dennis split up from me just before GlenAllen. I'm ultimately heading to Haines to catch a ferry, while they are returning home by the land route. They were great guys to ride with and I hope to do it again some day.
