The Last Stretch to Deadhorse/Prudhoe Bay

"Trudgin' across the tundra, mile after mile... trudgin across the tundra, right down to the parish of St. Alphonzo."

Points to you if you recognize this quote

I have never seen a rainbow like this! Some kind of double or triple rainbow. It was awesome!

The best way to to this road is by motorcycle, but if I were forced to take 4 wheels, I could certainly think of worse ways. Awesome!

You could tell by looking at the overcast on the horizon that the Arctic Ocean was coming, yeah!

So, you're curious about the road conditions?

The closer you get to Deadhorse, typically the thicker and larger the gravel. If, when your time comes to hit the Haul Road and the gravel is just too thick for you to traverse, you might want to consider just waiting awhile and let the trucks that go by to pack it down.

Still murdering the bugs with my Adventure weapon!

Ya know, you might be tempted to dismiss the tundra as just a frozen wasteland and something to just get through, but it's awesome, especially when you consider just where you're at.

Some kind of outpost.

Pump Station #4. Check out the angle of the antenna pointing to the geosyncronous, equitorially orbiting satellites!

Remember this location for later.

Ok, here's what I don't get: there are zillions of skeeter's out there. What the hell do they eat while they're waiting for hapless boobs to stumble about across the tundra?

Deadhorse at last!

It was a long way's gettin' here.
