Meet Tom

Tom's a helluva guy and it was great just listening to him. A sharp mind and a subtle sense of humor.

We like to rag on Harley riders because so many of them are no-skill, non-riding posers, but I've crossed paths with some real riders in the HD camp before, and Tom is one of them. His bike is a 2004 Lowrider and it had 102,000 miles on it. Much to the chagrin of his dealer, he also has the extended warranty. Nothing pleases Tom more than pissing off other Harley riders. He doesn't care about chrome and he has some kind of del Monty sticker on his battery box. Let's not even discuss the footlocker! I think we convinced him to run knobbies, if for no other reason than to ride it to his shop and give the guys there fits.

After hanging with the lowlifes for a couple of days, I think we have him convinced to get a laptop and join ADVRiders. He is one.

Here's Tom heading out to the ferry something like 3 or 4 hours early, just in case he breaks down he'll have enough time to push it the rest of the way. Seriously! he was really ready to "get off of this rock".

Here I'm stealing photos from tufelhunden because he didn't write a ride report

Just in case you think I'm lyin'

Oh yeah, the campground put on a crabfest!

By the way, elmontanero's ride report is at http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=243497
